 Who Let the Dogs Out?

Members of Speedway Children’s Charities – Virginia Chapter (SCC-VA) played a very active role in honoring our nation’s military service members during the Lowe’s Motor Speedway Memorial Day Activities.  The racing dog mascots, “Raffle” and “50/50” even joined in the weekend festivities.

AutoTrader.Com, a major sponsor and contributor to SCC hosted a luncheon for thousands of Fort Bragg troops and their families.   Click here for complete story.

Coca-Cola 600 Action

The week of the  Coca-Cola 600 was filled with action both on and off the track.  On 21 May, Speedway Children's Charities - Charlotte Chapter, hosted its annual black-tie gala.  Mr. Carl Edwards, SSC spokesperson was the guest of honor at the sold out event.   The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers had back-to-back weekends at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

This year's Coca-Colo 600 was also the last race of Lowe's Motor Speedway, President,  Mr. Humpy Wheeler.   He retired after 31 years Speedway Motorsport, Inc.  Good luck "Humpy."   Click here to see additional photos.
